At Poolside Aquatics, we are committed to promoting water safety through comprehensive lifeguard training programs. Our American Red Cross instructors are certified to equip individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies effectively.

Our experienced instructors are dedicated to delivering high-quality training that adheres to the latest industry standards and best practices. With service Nationwide, Poolside Aquatics is your trusted partner for lifeguard certification and aquatic safety training.

We partner with the American Red Cross to deliver up to date certification courses, following the latest guidance set by contributing Aquatic and Health organizations. ​

LIFEGUARDING

2 YEAR VALIDATION PERIOD

​Participants learn how to prevent, protect and respond in the event of an emergency in and out of the water with American Red Cross Lifeguarding. The Red Cross Lifeguarding course content reflects the latest science and best practices, validated by the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council.

​

Red Cross Lifeguarding curriculum includes several lifeguarding courses designed to meet participants. Certification program includes:

  • Lifeguarding, includes deep water training over 7’

  • Shallow Water Lifeguarding (0-5, 6, 7’)

  • Aquatic Attraction Lifeguarding (water less than or equal to 3’)

  • Waterpark Skills

  • Waterfront Skills

Students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class.

CPR 

PROFESSIONAL RESCUER CPR (CPRO)

The CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers (CPRO) program trains professional-level rescuers to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants until more advanced medical personnel take over. This course has been recently updated to current International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) guidelines, including the American Red Cross Aquatic Guidelines and Best Practices. The Aquatic Guidelines and Best Practices are based on the results of scientific evidence evaluations and guideline reviews overseen by the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council.

LAY RESPONDER

American Red Cross CPR classes take just a few short hours, but the skills you'll learn during the process can make all the difference to someone in need. Whether you require certification or are a member of the general public and simply want to learn how to respond in the event of an emergency, our in-person, online, and best-in-class blended learning courses make it easy to get CPR certified and ready for the moments that matter.

WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR

The Water Safety Instructor, also known as WSI™, course trains instructor candidates to teach all of the courses presented in the Swimming and Water Safety program to all age groups; all of the courses listed above, plus Learn-to-Swim Levels 4-6 and Adult Swim. This certification is the gold standard and provides the most comprehensive training for swim instructors.
